Questions
My modulus is lower than the handbook value
Without an extensometer, crosshead strain includes machine compliance, which lowers the apparent modulus. Compare samples measured the same way.
Can it handle brittle samples?
Yes. For samples with no yield, the yield strength is left blank and the strength and modulus are reported.
