Questions
What does the shape model do?
It reads the pattern of your data (saturating, sigmoidal, thermally activated, a spectrum and so on) and narrows 35 equations to the plausible ones, so spurious models do not win by chance.
Can I type my own equation?
Yes, in Studio: choose User-defined equation and type, for example, A*exp(-k*x) + c.
