Lattent is designed to collect as little as possible. Analyses run in your browser; only what you choose to store in the cloud leaves your computer.

Without an account

Your data is processed only inside your browser and never sent to us. A draft of your work is kept in your browser's local storage so it survives a reload; clear it at any time in your browser's site-data settings.

With an account

• Email address: to sign you in with one-time links and to link your purchases.
• Cloud projects: projects you explicitly save to the cloud, stored in our database with row-level access control so that only you, and members of your lab if you share a project, can read them.
• Billing status: your plan, renewal date and links to your billing portal, received from Lemon Squeezy. We never receive or store card details.

We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and we never sell or share your data. Projects are not used to train any model.

Facet chat

If you use the optional chat, your question and a summary of your project are sent directly from your browser to the AI provider you chose, using your own API key, under that provider's terms. Lattent's servers are not involved, and the key is stored only in your browser.

Processors

• Supabase: authentication and database hosting for accounts and cloud projects.
• Lemon Squeezy: payments and tax, as merchant of record.
• Alexandria database (Ruhr University Bochum): when you use Discover, your searches (elements and formulas, never your data tables or peaks) go from your browser to its public OPTIMADE interface.
• GitHub Pages: website hosting. Google Fonts and jsDelivr: fonts and one pinned, integrity-checked library. They see standard request data such as IP addresses.

Your rights

From the account page you can download all your cloud data as a file and permanently delete your account and every cloud project at any time. Deletion is immediate; database backups that may contain it expire within the provider's retention window. For anything else, use the Contact link at the foot of every page.
